What type of job are you looking for?

Any job that would enable me exercise my skills and potential

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

English,Swahili and Luhya(fluently)

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

Kenya.They say charity begins at home and so am interested in first contributing to the betterment of my own country before i can move out.

What countries have you worked in?

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

What field do you currently work in?

Am an undergraduate student clearing school in may 2011

What fields have you worked in before?

Teaching,counseling,worked in office registry and dealing with policy formulation and implementation

What qualifications do you hold?

C.P.A section 1 degree in economics(major),sociology and mathematics(minor) counseling computer literate

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

Skills.one with skills can be considered educated and so capable to perform as per the expected standards.However, one can have the formal education but incapable of performing.

Describe the benefits of working with others

It helps one to acquire new skills both in the field and outside. Builds a harmonious relationship with those around you. It enhances transparency and accountability It enhances specialization hence efficiency

Describe the benefits of working alone

Faster decision making process One is more keen as any mistake will cost him alone.

What was your worst working experience?

Staying in the office a whole day with nothing to be done.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

Seeing challenges as opportunities to contribute to the betterment of the society around me.

What unique skills do you have?

Listening skills.I always want to give time to those around me to express themselves and also think critically before i can give my response.This has really helped in offering counseling services to others.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

I've always desired to work as an economist more especially in the research field.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

Through research one is able to move from the ideal to the real situations on the ground.We stop dealing with assumptions, generalizations, predictions and estimations.one is able to come up with informed decisions hence beneficial in the long run.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

At times you tend to make a lot of enemies, those who want to live in ideal situations and would not want truth to be told

Apart from your dream job, what else can you do?

Being a social scientist,human beings have been my center of interest and so any job that would take me closer to the people would be most appropriate.
