What type of job are you looking for?

Nutritionist

what nationality are you?

Kenyan

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

English, Swahili,Kikuyu

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

Looking forward to work in a peaceful environment in Kenya. preferably within Nairobi and its environs.

What countries have you worked in?

None. Am yet to complete my studies.

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

None-only in Kenya

What field do you currently work in?

Am currently a student at the verge of completing my BSc. Degree in Nutrition.

What fields have you worked in before?

Contractual short term jobs-as an enumerator with Kenya National Bureau of Statistics,attachment at Kenyatta National Hospital,Njoro Health Centre in Kenya

currently pursuing a Bsc. degree in Foods, Nutrition & Dietetics at the University of Nairobi, Kenya-completion date: 20th June, 2011. Holds a valid driving License, Trained on Peer Education with I Choose Life-Africa and awarded a certificate. Trained on IYCF and Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition.Also have good communication(both oral and written) and people skills among many more!

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

both sounds equally important to me i.e. they complement but not supplement one another. one can have formal education with no skills,and skills are what makes one equally compete in the job market. on the other hand, formal education is also important-basic knowledge where skills are built on!

Describe the benefits of working with others

You can share and learn new things, idea or solve problems when you discuss with them. they can also help to sharpen your skills and realize your goals/targets/ambitions. Human beings are social beings.

Describe the benefits of working alone

Benefits are limited if any. We need others in order to realize our full dreams and ambitions

What was your worst working experience?

None so far

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

I have learnt that patience pays, No hard work goes unrewarded! Also do unto others what you would like them do unto you!

What unique skills do you have?

Very hardworking,determined, Able to work without supervision, minimal if any.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

Working with a highly reputable organization(NGO or public), as a manager.Ultimate goal is starting my own consultancy firm in my field.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

Dealing with human beings: helping to improve their health, quality of life, giving hope for the hopeless.generally, making a change in someone's life!
