Overseas training for Orthopaedic technologists Date: December 2, 2011 2011Dear Sir/Madam, REF. lower limbs fitting training in Otto Bock Germany;[Prosthesis] The Worlds leading manufacturer of artificial limbs, has extended a training Opportunity to train Orthopedic Technicians from Kenya and Somalia on how to fit their high tech. state of the art lower limbs. The training program starts on 6th. January 2012 in their Competence Center in Duderstadt in Germany. Otto Bock shall meet the costs of accommodation, full board, and Training estimated at usd2000 per trainee for a period of 14 days After the Training , participants will be expected to return to Kenya and then proceed to various health Centers in Kenya & Somalia, where they are expected to fit Otto Bock Manufactured lower limbs to Kenyan & Somali Amputees under the Auspices of the Kenyan &Somalia Ministries of Health . They will also be required to provide training to Indigenous Kenyan & Somali medical Staff. Qualified applicants should have all the following; 1] Valid passport, 2] Degree or higher Diploma from a recognized Institution. 3]Should be over 24years Old. 4] Should be willing to return to Kenya after training and to work in Somalia and/or Kenya. 5] Candidates of Somali origin are encouraged to apply. 6] Those with previous working experience in Prosthesis have an added advantage. A total number of 15 candidates will be selected, and forwarded to the Embassy of Germany in Nairobi starting 10th-December 2011. For Visa interviews.
