Kenyan

English, Kiswahili and Kikuyu (fluently)

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

Kenya, so that i can get a chance to be part of the change we need in our country.

What countries have you worked in?

Only in Kenya.

What field do you currently work in?

Am an undergraduate Community Development student in Daystar University, in my final year.

What fields have you worked in before?

I have worked in the church as a trainer, i have also worked with high schools as a counsellor and motivator.

What qualifications do you hold?

Diploma in Counselling Psychology. Diploma in Social Work. Currently in my final year of a degree in Community Development. Skills in Disaster Management. Skills in Computers

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

I consider skills to be more important than formal education, because people in the community are not interested in my education but the skills i can offer to them in order to improve their lives.

Describe the benefits of working with others

It will give me a chance to learn new ideas, devlop team work skills, and pool resources together.

Describe the benefits of working alone

Save on time because i do not have to consult.

What was your worst working experience?

When i failed to get along with a member of an organisation i was working with as a volunteer.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

That people are the greatest asset and their value should not be overlooked.

What unique skills do you have?

Counselling, motivation, facilitation, organising, disaster management and computer skills.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

Being the coordinator of my own founded NGO, that will work with teenage mothers and unempolyed women.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

The fact that am going to meet new people and places. Also the idea of helping to improve the living standards of people is the most fulfilling to me.

Wjat are the least interesting aspects of your field?

Having to work with apathetic,lazy and unappreciaitive people.
