I believe there is still so much that has to be done in improving the general health care provisions of this country. What countries have you worked in? In different towns of The Republic of Kenya. What countries do you have a visa to work in? East African countries What field do you currently work in? Retail pharmacy..partnership. What fields have you worked in before? Hospital pharmacy and community pharmacy. What qualifications do you hold? Diploma in Pharmacy(2003), Certificate in Front Office and guidance and counseling. Working on a Degree in Management. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? A combination of the two, they work hand in hand for better enhancement of one's career or interest to ensure better results at the end of the day. Describe the benefits of working with others I love working as a team, when well motivated, each member of the team will have a part to play and he/she ensures 110% commitment! that means 110% results! Describe the benefits of working alone I am still waiting to meet someone who works alone in this world. What was your worst working experience? I wouldn't exactly call it 'worst'. How about the most enlightening experience? Wen i started a business from scratch in an area known to have territorial 'control' AND succeeded. it was the best experience EVER. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? think big, start small, give it all u got and be patient. Works for mi, all the time. What unique skills do you have? i believe i am a very patient person. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? One that i will be able to balance my career and family needs :) What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Great discoveries every hour! One should always be updated on new drug molecules, phase out drug molecules, enhanced, better activity, less side effects drug molecules. Always up to date. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? The counterfeits. So many of them in this day and age and very dangerous to the health sector, i wish the government and The Pharmacy and Poisons Board would more vigilant and curb these criminals once and for all. where do u see yourself in 5 years time? Running a successful retail outlet of my own, complete wit a General Physician and Laboratory services.
