What type of job are you looking for?

i am looking for a job in the field of public relations, considering that is what i studied at college.i also have knowledge in the fields of advertising, marketing, international business communications and customer service/care and so i can still excel at such job opportunities.i believe i am well versed in the above named specialties.

What nationality are you?

i am a Kenyan citizen.

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

i am fluent and can clearly express myself in the queen,s language i.e English and also Swahili.

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

i would love and appreciate to work in my beloved country Kenya, specifically in Nairobi where i am currently reside because i want to help fellow citizens in building and developing it and making it a place to identify with in the global arena.

What countries have you worked in?

i have never worked in any other country before except here in Kenya where i did some voluntary work in form of outside catering for the Nation Media Group.

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

none at all.

What field do you currently work in?

currently i don,t work in any field.

What fields have you worked in before?

previously i have worked in the travel and tours field, accounting at a cafeteria, and also the outside catering field.

What qualifications do you hold?

a diploma in public relations which constituted of the following units studied in whole;marketing, advertising, customer service, international business communications and public relations.i am also computer literate and posses computer application skills.i have a c+ in my KCSE certificate and scored 394/500 in my KCPE examinations.

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

i find the necessary skill more valuable.formal education doesn,t really focus on disseminating the skill much yearned for in the job market and mostly just teaches the learners how to pass and excel in examinations such that after exams,it is easily forgotten, leading to a waste of time and resources.

Describe the benefits of working with others

man is not an island.working with others brings about team spirit which to me is also a great motivator to work.through joint effort, one can learn to appreciate others opinion and not just view theirs as superior,an organization can experience better results hence acquire a unique competitive edge over its competitors and people can learn the value and positive results of each individual,s contribution towards achieving set goals and strategies.

Describe the benefits of working alone

working alone also has its equal share of benefits.one experiences better concentration which could possibly not be achieved in the case of group work.decision making becomes easier and faster, time wastage is immensely reduced, better results are possibly visible.

What was your worst working experience?

working with people who lacked motivation in their work.it was hectic since i practically had to do some jobs for them when they never showed up for work or were too lazy to finish them.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

that you don,t really have to wait too see the boss walking around the work place so as to to your duties.i have to make my job my responsibility and obligation such that the salary i get at the end of the day i surely well deserved and thoroughly worked for.

What unique skills do you have?

i posses perfect interpersonal skills,i am well organized,i love to work out of my own initiative,i am quite flexible and can fit and work under any conditions and i am honest.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

landing a position as the head of a public relations department in any reputable organization.i believe i have amassed valuable and worthy skills that would benefit such a department.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

the fact that i get to have a first hand experience with customers when attending to them.this will definitely give me the give me the golden chance to understand their problems, possibly empathize with them, possibly customize solutions to their problems and even follow up on them to find out how much they got satisfied with the help i accorded them.

Wjat are the least interesting aspects of your field?

on a personal level,i find none but on a general level, the fact that it is somehow difficult to land a job in public relation since many organizations have not yet embraced the value and worth of including a public relations department in their block of administration, especially considering the fact that thee is a growing need in the modern world to create and maintain a lasting and mutual relationship between organizations and their publics.

what are your salary expectations?

according to my academic qualifications,i look forward and expect to receive a monthly salary of at least 10,000 shillings.Any amount offered to me will also be highly appreciated.

How can potential employers contact you?

through the email address sheilamical@yahoo.com and through the number 0714160431
