Am looking for a teaching job in either a secondary school or a tertiary instituition.I teach English

Am a kenyan

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

I speak english,swahili and french

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

I would like to work in either Tanzania or at the kenyan coast.I believe these two areas would provide the best challenges for a teacher of English

What countries have you worked in?

I have only worked in Kenya so far.

What field do you currently work in?

Am a tutor in a private teacher training college handling English and communication skills

What fields have you worked in before?

I have been a sales lady before

What qualifications do you hold?

I have a Bachelor of Education degree

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

I really wouldn't wish to choose between the two because a combination of both would be most ideal. However,as a teacher i am naturally biased towards formal education.

Describe the benefits of working with others

Working with others enables one acquire more knowledge and skills through interaction with others. It also helps nurture our interpersonal skills as we interact with different personalities

Describe the benefits of working alone

Working alone makes decision-making faster.

What was your worst working experience?

I have heard several bad experiences but my worst would have to be when our students went on strike. It was very frightening and i felt helpless.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

I have learnt never to judge anything at face value, you can never tell what lies beneath the surface.

What unique skills do you have?

I am very good with people,i have very good communication skills and I am a good team player.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

My dream job would be working in an environment where i can realise my full potential.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

What is most interesting about teaching is that you are like a potter with clay.watching the metarmorphosis of a learner from the beginning to the end is quite amazing

Wjat are the least interesting aspects of your field?

The least interesting aspects are dealing with unruly students and having a student with a problem you know you can help with but you can't interfere because of the parents or the adminstratn

Please replace this with a question of your own

Apart from the salary, are their any other benefits of working with you?

How can potential employers contact you?
