Operations Manager Hello, Ock Pop Tok is looking for an Operations Manager for its Living Crafts Centre in Luang Prabang, Laos. The area of management: 1. Tourism Activities; tours, classes, workshops & seminars. 2. A shop 3. A cafe 4. A 4 roomed textile design themed guest house. Required skills, experience and aptitudes Essential • Background and minimum 5 years experience in retail, tourism and/or restaurant management. • Fluency in English and Thai/Lao. • Evidence of substantial achievement in an operational management role including growing an organisation’s team practices and customer service. • Knowledge of, and experience in team training. • An eye for detail, initiative and good motivational skills. Preferred • Familiarity with small business management. • Knowledge of and/or experience of social enterprise business models. • A passion for textiles, cultural heritage or contemporary design We are looking for a someone with a proven track record for getting the job done, people skills are essential. Main conditions of engagement: • One year re-newable contract • Salary according to experience and qualifications. • Based in Luang Prabang, Lao PDR • Starting date beginning September 2011 or as soon as possible thereafter.
