Seeking a job in the banking industry
I am seeking a job in the banking industry. I am an undergraduate, 3rd year university, and about to finish my studies. I am seeking this job so not to waste any more time and start building my career from now. What nationality are you? I am a lebanese girl, born and raised. What languages do you speak (and at what level)? Arabic: read-very good ; spoken-very good ; written-good English: read-very good ; spoken-very good ; written-very good French: read-very good ; spoken-good ; written-good * German: beginner in the german language What country or area are you looking to work in and why? At least for the first couple of years, I would prefer working in my own country, Lebanon. However, if got an opportunity to work abroad, I have no problem. What countries have you worked in? I still haven't worked anywhere abroad. The only country I've ever been to is my own, Lebanon. What countries do you have a visa to work in? None. What field do you currently work in? Currently, I'm working in Sales. What fields have you worked in before? I have worked in Sales and Education before. What qualifications do you hold? I am currently proceeding my BS in Banking&Finance. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Both are of equal importance since you can't work based on just one. Formal education alone does not permit a person to work properly in his/her field, and skills alone will not yield a good outcome. Describe the benefits of working with others Working with others definitely has its benefits: - You can learn from others' mistakes and not fall into them yourself - You can others for help in subjects you are not understanding well - Working with others means more outcome, of better quality, and in less time. This means meeting with the deadline faster. Describe the benefits of working alone The benefits of working alone: - You will have time to think straight with yourself - You won't have to argue about the different opinions What was your worst working experience? I would have to say having to work under my manager for quite some time. She wasn't what you would call a nice manager. I had my final exams and had to go to the university to take them, and she wouldn't let me take that day off. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? Well, I haven't yet started my career. That is why I am on this site. So I could start building a career and learn from the best in that field. Since I was just a little girl, my dream job has been to be in a uniform and work in the offices or front desk of a bank. Why are you sending us this interview? My name is Sandra Bou Mosleh and I'm 20 years old. I am an undergraduate in the Lebanese German University. It's my third year and I still have only one year to finish my studies and get my degree in Bankin&Finance. Since I was just a kid, I dreamt of working at a bank. I am a very intelligent girl and learn fastly what is being taught to me. I am seeking a job in my domain since now so that I don't waste anymore time and delay the start of my career. I have also been born into a not-so-rich family, where my dad works a lot so to be able to pay the bills, my university fees, my sister's school fees which next year will be university fees, and also bring bread to the table.
