What type of job are you looking for?

I recently graduated with a degree of international affairs and developmental economics. I am looking for a job that would somehow project my education. However, i still don't mind working in different fields in order to obtain on ground experience.

What nationality are you?

I am Lebanese. I was born in Beirut and raised in Paris till the age of eleven. I have been living in Lebanon since 1998.

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

I speak 3 languages fluently. English is my strongest and most efficient language. French is my second best when it comes to formal discussion. Arabic is fluent yet not often used.

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

At the moment i am looking to work anywhere, it doesn't matter where it is as long as i get to work in my field.

What countries have you worked in?

I have only worked in Lebanon in the past 4 years of university.

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

None.

What field do you currently work in?

I am currently working in the business field, management in particular. But i intend to change that in order to find work more suitable to my skills.

What fields have you worked in before?

I have worked in translation, education, and public service.

What qualifications do you hold?

I hold a BA in International Affairs and Economics for the Lebanese American University in Beirut.

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

I consider education and skills to be equally valuable in constructing a progressive path of work. By accepting the best of both can we achieve a more efficient work ethic.

Describe the benefits of working with others

Working as a team is essential to the production of massive projects. Through a structured harmonized unit production can be increased and the outcome favorable. I enjoy working in a group as long as the group is willing to work with me. In order for the group to succeed they must rely on one another.

Describe the benefits of working alone

The benefits of working alone is liberty allowed to apply personal creativity and effort. Only through working alone is experience gained and squired. Although it is more efficient to function as group in the long run, working individually also sharpens personal skills and techniques.

What was your worst working experience?

My worst working experience was working for the public sector in Lebanon. The inefficiency and lack of serious work ethic truly put me off my work and left very much de-motivated.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

that through hard work and proper teamwork, anything is achievable. I was part of the team that hosted the local MUN(Model United Nations) for schools from all over Lebanon, and we were able to teach and spread UN values to more than 250 schools in Lebanon. It was all done through hard work and peaceful team environment

What unique skills do you have?

Skills i used throughout my career were my translations skills and my teaching skills. I was also commonly asked to write and edit paper work. Although i personally suppose that my best skill is my devotion to my work, for if i love a job i give it my all.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

My dream job is to be able to become a educational developer where i work to spread wholesome proper education all over the world. My philosophy says that an educated world is a peaceful one, and only through education and free thought are we going to achieve it.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

The most interesting aspects of my field is looking for different theories to locate and solve the problems that face the world, it be in development, in government structure, or international relations. Locating the problem and looking for a solution is the main purpose why i pursued such a career.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

Am not a big fan of the public service bureaucracy, or any bureaucracy for that matter. However it is very much existent and and must be tackled.
