What type of job are you looking for?

any social work related job,especially rehabilitation or community work.

What nationality are you?

Mosotho

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

I speak sesotho fluently, and english relatively.

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

I would like to work in lesotho because it is my home country and I like to help towards the development of my countrymen as well as my country.

What countries have you worked in?

Lesotho.

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

None.

What field do you currently work in?

None.

What fields have you worked in before?

I had been attached at CGPU within the Lesotho Mounted Police Services as a social worker dealing with gender and child protection issues. I had also been attached at Phelisanang Bophelong HIV/AIDS support group in Motebang hospital Leribe as a social worker doing group counselling and community counselling.Lastly I was attached at Butha-Buthe correctional services institution as a rehabilitation officer.

What qualifications do you hold?

Bachelor of social work degree.

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

I consider skills because they provide more practical knowledge and experience of what is real in the practical world, but formal education is more of the theories than practice.

Describe the benefits of working with others

One is able to learn from others expertise, share ideas and cooperate to perform the job as quick as possible.

Describe the benefits of working alone

One is able to become innovative since she can come up with creative ideas without the backup of colliques. The work is done perfectly without any stupid mistakes because she konws that she will be the only one answerable to such mistakes( no hiding behind colliques).

What was your worst working experience?

working with people who are not willing to change their behaviour for the better even after being aware that their previous behaviour had cost them a lot of trouble.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

Working with colligues with the same gualification and profession is beneficial since one can learn and experience how job is performed.

What unique skills do you have?

Ability to listen so as to get exactly what the client communicates to me. Ability to emphathise but do not take the client's problems home with me.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

Being a Principal rehabilitation officer in the department of correctional services, addressing behavioural change of inmates to bring about a crime free community.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

Working as a rehabilitation officer, i realy enjoy the job.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

Clients who do not want to become independent.
