Design Firms as a graphic designer and Art Studio Management (Studio Manger) What qualifications do you hold? Certificate in Creative Design. Diploma in Graphic Design. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Formal education is vital even though Skills are more valuable. For a better understanding of the society especially with the more advancing information technology in this world its more important to have the formal education which embraces this on a large spectacular as opposed to skills. apparently, skills are more valuable after attaining the formal education since this can gives a benchmark to productivity to an organization. Describe the benefits of working with others - socialize: it helps one socialize with others and understand others at workplaces, which is a good ingredient at work places. - socio-culture: - enables one learn cultures and traditions of the comrades and be able to cope up with them. - helps one learn new ideas of working out things from new perspectives which might be from friends and comrades. - source of reference in case you cant remember how to tackle a given problem. Describe the benefits of working alone - Generates Concentration on whatever you are doing from the perspective that you understand it. - No outside interferance, all you need is planning your time and executing the initiatives in the time management list. What was your worst working experience? in a design firm in Nairobi, where the firm was intended for upgrading and the management failed the entire company by presenting the wrong profile to the sponsors. this made the company be disqualified and as a result i resigned from the company. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? Patience and variety. Take time to think, ask and take time to create. besides, give out variety (options) rather than monopolising issues. What unique skills do you have? - can design using either Illustrator, Corel Draw or Photoshop, using the above i create ideas by imagination, put them down using pen, pencil and paper ind do the same using the computer to create an impact to the client at hand. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? "Creative Director" What are the most interesting aspects of your field? - Creativity - Job Anlysis - Colour Choice - - General outlook of an artwork and - The use of colour. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? - the Size of the artwork presented and - Time spent in Creating an artwork where would you love to see the use of art and Advertising in any country and organization maximised? Art and advertising can be used by military, Civil society, business people, Educationists etc to educate even the rebel groups of the advantages of arms by the civil society to the government. with good creativity accompanied by some percentage of education to the society this could highly achieve so much cheaply and without shedding blood as opposed to doing it using the forceful government organs.
