| ExpatriateTeaching Job in LiberiaI am an expatriate (U.S. national) "adopted daughter" of Liberia with a Liberian son who lived in the country for five years. I only returned to the U.S.A.in 1977 to complete my college education with an aim to go back to Liberia, teach at one of the universities, and help to build schools throughout the interior. The civil war wrecked my plans.I still want to return home to Liberia and contribute to the country's redevelopment. Is there a place for me? |

| | My name is Stacy Harris and I am an African American. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Education from one of the best University's in America. I have taught history, social studies and math at the high school and junior high school levels. I also was director of a YMCA and a Headstart program, both promoting the welfare of children. I desire to teach in Liberia and educate both Liberians and American on the historical relationship between our two countries. I hope that there is a place for me to teach in Liberia. I believe it is important for us as Americans and Liberians to stay connected and not lose focus on the Love of Liberty that brought us together. |
