Both are equally valuable. Education is to educate your knowledge or eradicate your illiteracy. Skills are what you are specialized/master of the field. You cant be Jack of all Trades. An individual need to be skilled in few areas at least.

Set an expectation (what you can do and cannot) of work with your job partner and stick to that expectation rather than disappointing them at the last minute.
