Answers: What would it be like for DEMs if they didn't have the burd Would there be no earmarks, no closed-door drafting of bills, no increase in deficit spending, no special interest influence (unions), no vote buying (Nebraska, Louisiana)? Would all bills be posted on the White House website before signing? Would health-care negotiations be broadcast live on C-SPAN? Would Guantanamo be closed? Would we have peace and global co-operation through direct talks with America's enemies? Would there be no former lobbyists in high White House jobs? Would there be no more non-compete contracts with the USG? Would names be disclosed of attendees at closed White House meetings? Would we have a new era of bipartisan co-operation? Would we have immigration reform? Would Massachusetts not have a Republican in the Ted Kennedy seat? Would unemployment not be above 8%? Why does George Bush squelch the 'Hopey Changey' revolution in spite of a Democratic majority in both House and Senate? |
