I am looking for a job that is stable where I can use my acquired skills in computing and that which can provide financial stability specially for my family's future. What nationality are you? I am a Filipino (from the Philippines). What languages do you speak (and at what level)? I speak Tagalog as my native tongue and English language as my secondary language. I can rate my English speaking as intermediate and English writing as expert. What country or area are you looking to work in and why? I am looking for a job in Macau because of the good news I heard from the people who have and are working there. Plus it's close proximity to the Philippines means less travel whenever I need to go home for a vacation and some other reasons to go home. What countries have you worked in? None other than my own. What countries do you have a visa to work in? None yet. What field do you currently work in? I currently work in a Data entry field converting mostly hard copy data to soft copies for use in our clients databases and MIS. What fields have you worked in before? Mostly computer/IT related and HR, Accounting and Payroll field. What qualifications do you hold? I have more than 10 years of experience in computer operations. Six years of which I am currently spending as an Administrative Officer/HR Manager. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I would consider education is more valuable. But that's only if you can use what you have learned functionally. Being "educated" could mean better job opportunities thus better pay. Describe the benefits of working with others Working with others tests one's sociability and may result in more successful work plus it opens more opportunities with others such as becoming a team player, a leader and not to say it opens doors to more friends. Describe the benefits of working alone Working alone do have it's own benefits like avoiding unnecessary criticisms from others, enjoying your own free style and ideas in doing your work and you can avoid creating your self jealous enemies while working. What was your worst working experience? My worst working experience would probably be the time when I was criticized by an employee if I know what my job is and if I understand what I am doing. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? The most important lesson I learned would be that in managing a group of people, be it a small group or big one, you always have to consider each and everyone before making any decision even if that's decision is intended for only an individual. What unique skills do you have? I can easily deal with people. I can learn new things easily. I make furnitures as a hobby. And I can also play guitar. And sing (a little). What would you consider as your 'dream job'? My dream job would be something that I enjoy doing while making money out of it. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? The most interesting would be the dealing with completely different people (100 employees, 100 stories as I say) and how you would direct each of them into common goals. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? The least interesting is sometimes the result of my most interesting aspect. You can't please everybody. How do you sell your self with a potential employer? I am a graduate of Information Technology and for more than ten years I have been honing my skills in computing. For the last six years I have been working as an Administrative Officer and HR Manager in a company with around 100 employees in the Philippines managing hiring(and termination), payroll, performance evaluation and other things which relates to employees and their employment.
