Looking for sales management jobWhat type of job are you looking for? Hi I have a degree in Mass Comm and am conversant in English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Malay. I have 7 years of advertising, sales and marketing experience and have no problems working independently or in a team. I also completed my pre-university education from Australia and have a Victorian Certificate of Education. What nationality are you? Malaysian Chinese. What field do you currently work in? Retail bookstore. What fields have you worked in before? Property developer, property consultancy and advertising agency. What qualifications do you hold? Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication (Curtin University, Western Australia). Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Both. The former is to determine and train a person in individual thinking and critical analysis skills whereas the second can only be gained through working experience and is applicable to real life examples. Describe the benefits of working with others Team building, camaraderie, establishing rapport in team work and shared joy at achievement. Describe the benefits of working alone Able to speed up process of completing job task, able to demonstrate creativity, initiative, independence and achievement of results in a quicker manner. What was your worst working experience? None. All my working experience were greatly enhanced by challenges faced during work and the most challenging one is when dealing with difficult customers but I always manage to overcome it and learn from the experience. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? That sometimes staying for too long in a job stagnates a person's thinking and learning experience due to repeatedly doing the same thing over again. Travel and overseas experience are career broadening experiences and will definitely benefit a person's career development. What unique skills do you have? Multi lingual, able to multi task, exposure to various working environment and dealing with both high level and lower level professionals, career experience is gained from the ground up, learning from hard knocks experience. I am also young, single and able to travel. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? Something where I am able to work in a diverse working environment and being well rewarded for my skills, professionalism and outstanding results. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Dealing with various challenging aspects of real life scenarios that require flexible mindset and initiative to quickly achieve results and being able fulfill my career ambitions.
