An Advanced Diploma in Business Management, Certificate in Total Quality Management, Certificate in Operations Management and currently studying Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? it is a difficult question for me because honestly when i look at formal education and skills i believe they should go hand in hand and they have a way of complementing each other so i wouldn't consider the other less really. Because looking at formal education, you look at elements such as gaining knowledge through training and development, dealing with minds of people as well as character and out of all this, one realizes his skills. So if one has to choose between the two there is need to strike a balance whenever these two are concerned. Describe the benefits of working with others working with others present one with a platform where he/she can easily assess his or her performance by comparing his input and output with everyone else'. And not only that one gets to learn new skills from others through interaction which also provides an individual with a support system. I believe a certain degree of honorable competition as well as conflict is welcome in any organization and it all involves people and this can only be experienced when one is working with others hence one gets to learn how to handle such situations without his abilities and performance being affected. And it is in such an environment that people develop and get motivated and socialize as well. Describe the benefits of working alone working alone also has its own benefits though it depends on the type of work as well as one's personality, for instance an individual can work at his/her own pace so long as he/she is meeting targets and he can choose which environment best suits his needs. one one gets to be creative through mistakes made on his own although sometimes laziness can crop in. What was your worst working experience? my worst working experience was when i had to work so hard for two months and never got my salary until after two months. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? I have learned that diligence is the weapon every ambitious individual should possess and commitment and hard work in whatever one is doing are the most vital elements one should exercise when pursuing a certain course in order to achieve anything at all. I have also learned that discipline and respect goes with commitment as well as hard work. What unique skills do you have? i have creative thinking skills, self motivation skills and influence skills and i am also quick at learning new things. By just observing something i can learn a number of things in a very short period time. What would you consider as your 'dream job'?
