Seeking Employment in MalawiWhat type of job are you looking for? My husband and I are qualified n many fields, I as a Hotelier which includes the promotion of Tourism. My Husband as a nursery man, with carpentry skills. I have heard that there is no Guest House in the Tea Growing areas of Malawi and would be very pleased to get involved with Sapekoe in opening a guest house, my Husband could be employed in the cultivation of Camelia sinencis (as this is a species that we propagate anually)amongst many other plants. English - Excellent and a childhood memory of Chinanga (spelling error) What country or area are you looking to work in and why? We would like to move to Malawi. We currently live in the Tzaneen /Magoekaskloof area of Limpopo Province. Due to company policy I am forced to retire at 60. However I am extremely fit and cannot contemplate retirement. I have so many skills that I would like to impart while I am still able. I also have close ties with Malawi - my Great, great Great Uncle was a man called Sir Harry Johnston - he broke the wicked slave trade in Malawi in the 19th Century. I have all of his books and a resultant love of Malawi. I also had great Aunts who ran Mission Stations in the early 1900's. I also had the privilege of being carried up Mount Malanji on the back of the late Sir Laurens van der Post. What countries have you worked in? Formal Education - is importnat but it does not fill your stomach with food Skills are important - those can fill you and at at the same time you can use those skills to teach other people. Love and knowledge of making people happy, comfortable and relaxed What are the least interesting aspects of your field? Not achieving goals Why do you want to leave the Country of your domicile There is no interest in people of our age - we are considered "too old and therefore useless"in this country.
