Iam looking for a challenging job in agriculture extension especially dealing with small holders and organising smallholder farmer groups.A area that I am confident will develop in the future is the mobilisation of small farmer groups to cooperatives and passing on skills and knoweledge through targeted training programs. What nationality are you? I a Papua Newguinean What languages do you speak (and at what level)? Iam able to speak english fluently besides the national tokpisin a language spoken by many of my country men and women. What country or area are you looking to work in and why? Iam really interested in working in Malaysia/India especially in the rural farming areas with small and organised groups of farmers. In PNG situation there are many similarties in the manner small farming groups are ogranised and managed, and this has been my greatest interests to work with the people in rural communties. What countries have you worked in? As a professionalagriculture extension officer I have worked only in Papua New Guinea, especially the coastal regions of PNG. What countries do you have a visa to work in? None at the moment What field do you currently work in? Agriculture Resource Management Developmentand Extension. What fields have you worked in before? Ihave worked in the feild of General Extension on to Economics and marketing,and also worked as an Agriculture Extension Trainer and Human Resource officer. Worked as Agriculture Planner,and also as Public Service Administrator of a District highest level position in a district, and currently working as Agriculture Program/Project Manager of a Government run institution the Cocoa and Coconut Institute PNGL. What qualifications do you hold? PostGraduate Diplona in Agriculture Systems - University of Western Sydney Australia. Bachelor of Arts University of Papua Newguinea and a Certificate in Tropical Agriculture. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Foram Education is a plua skills development and an the job experience is gained and can not learnt, therfore having a formal education is the pathway to learning new skills and acquiring new skills and developing partnership and sharing of those skills learnt to improve situations. What was your worst working experience? No resource support for a well designed work program and not acheivig results What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? Make decisions and be polite and paitent with the sysytem. What unique skills do you have? Problem Solving and Conflict Resolutions skills. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? I see least interesting aspects of my feild as new challenges , and that is the increasing number of women folk now in agriculture, basically because this is anew challenge and so it is challenging.
