I do values peoples actual achievement higher than formal education. Formal education is a valuable tool to add on your personal skills. However it is always the ability to implement your skills into practise that counts. However it is extremely important in a fast moving global economy to have constant focus on developing formal skills through education.

The human resource is the biggest resource in any business field in a global economy. All values are created by people. Good leadership is creating a productive working enviornment where everyone can work efficient, grow and expand personal capacity and skills, taking responsebility for common and personal goals. Work is the mean to sustaining existence and building family. When you work with other you can strive for higher goals compared to working alone, you get inspiration and you build relations that can help you onwards in career and even develop into a friendship.

Freedom is the absolute benefit. When you are your own boss, you have absolute freedom to plan your day. Only economy is a barriere and you free to strive towards making your ideas into strategy and business oppurtunities.

I donīt have a worst working experience as I strongly believe that their is a positive experience to be drawn from even the more tiresome experience. However I am not too comfortable with people making a false agenda with me involved without my consent.
What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?
There is always a solution to any situation. I can do anything I want but not all at once. Priority is extremely important and strategy planning too but most important is that a strategy is only a guideline to the direction you want to go.

Working in book publishing is definitely a dream job as I love the business, the products and the variety of people involved in the business. Teaching or councelling is second priority but still close to a dream job because I get a very big motivation from leading and helping people to achieve their goals.
What are the most interesting aspects of your field?
Working with people from different trades and getting so many inputs, experiences and inspiration from so many good and interesting people. Making the world a better place with bringing out so many good books that help doctors cure sick people.
Wjat are the least interesting aspects of your field?
A good manager should work with: 30 % administrative work, 35 % staff handling, 35 % developing the future strategy. I am not too happy when the administrative work grows beyond 30% of my work because then I know that I am losing focus on the future.
What will be the biggest challenge working in Malaysia?
The unwritten and unspoken cultural rules in a culture will be the biggest challenges and will demand a lot of patience and tolerance from me. I am grateful for the network I already have in Malaysia who I know will guide me.
