Seeking job on a resort island in the Maldives!

What type of job are you looking for?

I'm looking for any fulltime job that I am able to get on one of the 87 beautiful resort islands in the Maldives. This could include receptionist at a resort, waitressing at one of the resort restraunts, answering telephones etc.

What nationality are you?

I am an Australian. Born in Victoria, Australia.

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

I speak English fluently. I also know a very little bit of French, Korean and Thai - due to schooling and previous overseas experiences.

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

I am looking to work on a resort island in the Maldives. I am seeking work here because I want a new experience! I would love the serene lifestyle that the Maldives seems to offer, I think that would suit me very well. I would absolutely love to work and live in such a beautiful part of the world.

What countries have you worked in?

I have worked in Chiang Mai, Thailand, voulenteering with 'The Mirror Foundation', helping less fortunate communities. This included working at local schools - Building outdoor concrete courts for children to play on, and teaching english.

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

This is soon to be attained.

What field do you currently work in?

Currently, I work as a personal assistant to a Nautropath. I also am working as a sport coach (cheerleading) part time.

What fields have you worked in before?

My current positions as a personal assistant and a sporting coach are infact my first two paid jobs, as I am still quite young. However I have been in the sporting coach postion for over two years, and been a personal assistant for almost a year now.

What qualifications do you hold?

- Food safty handler level 1 - Year 10 schooling (currently still in year 10)

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

I consider skills more valuable, a formal education does not give you life skills or make you smarter than someone that did not graduate high school.

Describe the benefits of working with others

I think that working in a team is great for motivation and ideas. Also, moral in the work place, growth and job satisfaction, building relationships and networking.

Describe the benefits of working alone

I think that working alone gives more autonomy and power to decide. It enables acting according to one's judgment without facing criticism.

What was your worst working experience?

I think my worst working experience would be when I was coaching my usual group (cheerleading), I got kicked in the nose as a girl was trying to do a flip. My nose wouldn't stop bleeding and the blood went all over the gym floor, but I guess that's just part of life!

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

Don't be stressed, Listen, Be prepared to learn, and ALWAYS try your best.

What unique skills do you have?

- Artistically tallented - Excellent communication skills (Listening, Verbal, Written) - Analytical/Research Skills - Computer Skills - Multicultural Sensitivity/Awareness - Planning and Organizing

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

I would consider my dream job to be in a hot and beautiful place such as the Maldives, or other sub-tropical area, working as snorkeling or scuba diving instructor.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

Probably all the interesting people I have met, and the fact that I am teaching others something that I am passionate about (cheerleading). Also, it's interesting learning life skills from being a Personal Assistant - As my boss is a mother of three, as well as a part time Nautropath.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

Though it is minimal, it would probably have to be the paperwork!

What are some of your personality traits?

- Very outgoing - Honest - Dedicated - Loyal - Kind/Welcoming - Positive - Conscientious - Confident - Self-motivated - WILLING TO LEARN
