I am still a student-just finished my A-Levels with the hope of getting into University. What fields have you worked in before? I worked as a Pool Boy at the Intercontinental Hotel in 2007 and at the Dragona Westin as a waiter in 2008. What qualifications do you hold? I hold 10 O-Levels and I have just sat for my A-levels and intermediate exams. My main subjects are Computer Science and Accounts - the other subjects are Pure Maths, English, Marketing and Systems of Knowledge. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I consider them equally valuable as in life you never know what you might need. Describe the benefits of working with others Getting to know different people, your circle of friends grows and learning from other people is part of one's education. Describe the benefits of working alone Working on your own is advantageous as you are your own boss. You make your own time.Gaining credit for what you have done. Gaining satisfaction that the work submitted is entirely your own. You learn to be honest and ethical in your practices. What was your worst working experience? The worst experience was washing glasses in the kitchen replacing the kitchen hand-not the job as such but the intense heat for long hours What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? To respect all the people at your work place if you want to succeed in your job. What unique skills do you have? The ability to communicate with other people. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? My dream job would be working in an ambience with computers. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Being able to work amicably at my work place and always helping someone in need of assistance. Trying never to be arrogant. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? Sometimes you have to deal with various types of people in a work place that are not always friendly. I always try my hardest not to let it get to me. Would you like on the job training?
