I AM LOOKING FOR ANY TEMPORARY MEDICAL JOB THAT A 5TH YEAR MEDICAL STUDENT IS ALLOWED TO DO FOR THIS SUMMER HOLIDAY. What nationality are you? I AM A KENYAN NATIONALITY What languages do you speak (and at what level)? I SPEAK ENGLISH,RUSSIAN,SWAHILI AND ABIT OF ARABIC What country or area are you looking to work in and why? I would like to work in USA or Europe so as to have a different experience.As a future doctor it is very improtant for me to know different means and ways of treatment to different people, i have always been doing my practice in kenya or russia and soon i will be graduating,which means i will be going back to kenya and work maybe for the rest of my years but who knows what might come along? so i want to be fully prepared to face aall types of patients. Also i would like to work in these countries so as to get enough money to pay for my ACADEMIC debts before my graduation time since i am so worried that without clearing my debts the school might not allow me to graduate next year. What countries have you worked in? i have been doing my practice in Russia and Kenya What countries do you have a visa to work in? I am still in the process for US visa What field do you currently work in? I am a 5th year Medical student and shall be graduating next year 2010 What fields have you worked in before? I have been in emergency department in most of my practicals,i have assisted in surgery department,pediatric and gynaecology. What qualifications do you hold? I STUDIED IN KENYA IN THE 8.4.4 SYSTEM I FINISHED HIGH SCHOOL IN 2001 JOINED A COLLEGE FOR BUSINESS MANAGEMENT IN 2001-2002( I GOT A DIPLOMA IN ECONOMICS,BUSINESS ADMINISTRATIVE,INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS,TYPING,COMPUTER PACKAGING,OFFICE PROCEDURES AND ACCOUNTING) THEN I STARTED MY MEDICAL PRE-UNIVERSITY COURSE AT NIZNHIY NOVGOROD MEDICAL ACADEMY,RUSSIA IN 2003-2004 THEN I JOINED MEDICAL SCHOOL AT THE SAME UNIVERSITY IN 2004-2005,AND AM NOW DOING MY 5TH YEAR OF MEDICINE AND WILL BE GRADUATING IN JUNE 2010 Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I consider skills education more valuable because Describe the benefits of working with others working with others helps in finishing the work in time for two hands are better than one it helps you acquire different knowledge most of the times for people are different and we think and acquire knowledge differently. working with others most of the times helps us to avoid making mistakes.Due to alot of pressure by working with others,someone is able to survive in all aspects of life,someone will be able to understand others and will know how to deal with all sorts of people. Describe the benefits of working alone working alone allows someone to have maximum concentration,to be accurate and be independent. makes a person be more hardworking for everthing is under his/her shoulders. it helps someone to acquire more confidence. What was your worst working experience? My worst working experience was when a patient died in our hands due to severe bronchial obstruction,Having been delayed to get to the hospital in time due to transport problems. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? That a doctor should be able to feel the sufferings of her patient as if they were hers. to be able to leave her personal stuff and attent to the patients call immediately. i have learnt that it is important to have necessary facilities for proper treating of the patients and that one doctors mistakes cost lives of many patients so accuracy is the mother of succeess. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? MY dream job is to work in a big hospital and be famous in helping and saving many patients lives. i would really like to be loved by my patients and workmates and in the future i would like to open my own clinic. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? The most interesting aspects of my field is to be able to help and treat patients and when a case is diagnosed at the appropriate time and proper treatment is administered.it is such agood feeling when you are able to help someone. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? The least interesting aspect is when not able to diagnos a patient on time.
