What type of job are you looking for?

Ideally the most suited job would be within the energy sector as my background has been working within high voltage sub stations as an electrician onto site management.

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

English,fluently

What State are you looking to work in and why?

I would prefer cincinnati as that is where my girlfriend resides,other than that i am flexible where i go.

What field do you currently work in?

High Voltage Sub-Stations.

What fields have you worked in before?

I was a generator mechanic in the Royal Corps Of Signals some 20years ago.

What qualifications do you hold?

City and Guilds parts 1,2,3 in Electrical Installations.

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

Most definately skills,education teaches you theory in a classroom,skills is something you gain with experience.

Describe the benefits of working with others

You gain knowledge from others,the working day is more enjoyable and it creates openings outside of work.

Describe the benefits of working alone

There is a little more flexibility and should you have a generous boss you dont have to share your bonus.

What was your worst working experience?

That would be watching a collegue getting electrocuted and not being able to help as he was some 30ft up in a cherry picker,he never survived.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

To listen and acknowledge your superiors at work.

What unique skills do you have?

Knowledge is a far superior skill than a certificate,however i am a qualified 1st aider,i have all authorisations which allows me entry as a key holder into all sub stations through out Great Britain,i hold a valid british safety passport,IOSH in safety awareness,IPAF trained.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

I always wanted to be a Policeman.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

That would be handing over a completed installation and finished article,observing switching.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

The paperwork,it can be pretty boring at times however it is a part of my role as a site manager and requires completeing.
