I am looking for jobs related to the finance and accounting sector which match with my qualifications;and help develop my skills and personality, as well, broaden my horizon. I am even willing to do temporary jobs. What nationality are you? Mauritian. What languages do you speak (and at what level)? English - Fluent French - Fluent Hindi - Fluent Creol - Very Fluent What country or area are you looking to work in and why? I am looking for jobs in Mauritius,preferably in the North. What countries have you worked in? None. What countries do you have a visa to work in? None. What field do you currently work in? None. I am still a student at secondary level. What fields have you worked in before? I have been allocated a work placement of three weeks at Mauritius Revenue Authority (MRA) in the Finance and Accounting Department. What qualifications do you hold? School Certificate. Higher School certificate. IC3 certificate. And other certificates obtained from participation in various extra-curricalar activities, such as NPCC,HRDC and AMC (Australian Mathematics Competition) Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I personally consider both to be valuable. But, in this globalised world, without formal educational qualifications, no one can attain his/her choice of job. As for skills, they are also important since it ensures that we carry out our job efficiently. Moreover, it should be noted thad our skills contribute in enhancing our personalitity. Formal education and skills are like the wheels of a vehicle. So, both are important, though the government is empowering people having low qualifications. Describe the benefits of working with others Foremostly,it helps to socialize ourselves. As well,it helps in enhancing our personality, developing team spirit and co-ordinating skills, to be tolerant and to broaden our horizon. Responsiblities and work-load will be shared. Above all, since we live in a pluri-cultural multi-ethnic society, working with others help us to understand others' cultures and to accept them. Even, to promote peace and unity in our country. Describe the benefits of working alone No interference by others. Able to work according to the work limit given. There will be less responsiblities since one will have just to look after himself/herself. Thw work may be done at ease since one will not have to surpervise others. What was your worst working experience? None. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? Be calm. Follow the rules and regulations. And work limits. No discrimination and Favouritism among employees. Ability to socialise onself. (When I were employed as a Trainee at MRA) What unique skills do you have? Able to socialise with people very easily. Self-control. Motivated and confident. Always willing to learn more and even to help others. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? To work in the top management of a company. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? It evolves constantly and follows the pace of life and globalisation. And, also it provides a large number of jobs, which are even related to other fields. It promotes a LIE LONG LEARNING PROCESS. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? It usually include monotonous jobs. What more an employee would wish apart from basic pay and better working conditions. He/She would wish to be provided with opportunities to be able to broaden their horizon, develop further their skills and to enjoy various facilities, such as outings organised, parties and others.
