Brief : The study was undertaken to find out the investment habits & investment potential for Mutual Funds with respect to the satisfaction level of customers towards AMC’s considering the parameters like Service, Sales promotional activities and Relationship with AMC’s.
FINDINGS/OBSERVATION
• Trusts and Small & Medium Enterprises have the potential for investing in MF’s which have been untapped.
• Lack of proper promotional activities to create awareness about Mutual funds is the reason for low investment activities in this sector.
• Trusts and SME’s still have wrong perception about Mutual funds because of the UTI’s US-64 Scam.
• According to Distributors response, currently investors are seeking Mutual Funds as the best alternative instead of bank deposits attributed to the declining interest rates.
