What type of job are you looking for?

Resident of Anesthesiology

What nationality are you?

Swiss

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

German (mother tongue), English (very well), Spanish (very well), French (well)

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

Actually I'm working as a Anesthetist in swiss hospital. I'd like to work in this area in Mauritius for 1-2 years having a new experience.

What countries have you worked in?

Switzerland, Chile

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

Switzerland, Chile

What field do you currently work in?

Anesthesiology

What fields have you worked in before?

Inner medicine

What qualifications do you hold?

University degree in medicine at the University of Zurich. Actually Resident in Anesthesiology in Wetzikon (Switzerland) with excellent qualifications.

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

Formal education is very important because it give you a basis for good practice. Patient care has to be based on evidence and has to be proven scientifically to be efficient.

Describe the benefits of working with others

One can share knowledge with others. It's important to learn from each other and to be critic to oneself to improve medical care continuously. It's also nice to make friends at the working place.

freedom (I prefer to work together)

What was your worst working experience?

too much administration administration in Inner medicine and not enough time to spend with patients.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

be curious

What unique skills do you have?

Having experience in Inner medicine and in Anesthesiology

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

Combination of Anesthesiology and Intensive care.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

Having the posibility to combine knowledge of Inner medicine with manual skills. Close contact to patients and a challenging duty.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

shift working
