I have worked most of my life in the UK and have worked as a Supervisor in Saudi Arabia What countries do you have a visa to work in? I hold a European passport and can work anywhere in the world What field do you currently work in? I am a Senior Staff Nurse in Oncology outpatient What fields have you worked in before? I have worked in Orthopaedics,Paediatric,Ophthalmology,Medical, Surgical,Oncology ward What qualifications do you hold? Registered Nurse;Orthopaedic Diploma;Geriatric (JBCNS);Diploma in Palliative care and Degree in Oncology and General Nursing. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I think formal education is paramount. Education complements your acquired skills. Describe the benefits of working with others You gained more experience by teaching others and learning equally. Team working is beneficial because with the skill mixed of nurses you can achieve more. Describe the benefits of working alone You are the role model that others look up to for advice. What was your worst working experience? My worst experience was on night duty when you are unable to stay longer with poorly clients due to lack of staff. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? Be punctual; honest with clients;promote your skills and keep smiling. What unique skills do you have? When I see patients in the clinic having been in remission for a while and living a normal life. What are the least interesting aspects of your field?
