For this research the investigator identified 62 learning disabled children studying in standards vii to ix in corporation higher secondary school in chennai. For this purpose the investigator himself developed a self learning package for learning disabled children to learn fundamental concepts in algebra at their own pace.

2. Effectiveness of Certain Instructional Strategies to overcome Learning Difficulties in Arithmetic at Secondary School level.(Ph.d).

This research was done by the investigator during the year 2001 – 2004. For this research the investigator identified 254 learning disabled children studying in standards vi and vii in various corporation schools in chennai. The investigator divides the children in to four groups and applied four different kinds of instructional strategies such as Multi media assisted instruction, Multi sensory instruction, Group learning and Conventional method of teaching and the investigator analyse which method is more apt to teach the fundamental arithmetical concepts. For this purpose the investigator himself developed a self learning packages and different instructional materials for learning disabled children to learn fundamental concepts in Arithmetic at their own pace.
