time to put a great social worker to work!What type of job are you looking for? a position in the health profession using my degree(bachelors)in social work. What languages do you speak (and at what level)? english and arabic, the arabic spoken and understood at a travelors level. What State are you looking to work in and why? michigan for family reasons. What field do you currently work in? currently I work out of my house, at non-profit agencies on a volunteer basis. What fields have you worked in before? I have worked in the medical field, the office management field, the non-profit field, the resturant field, as well as career consultant field. What qualifications do you hold? I hold a bachelors degree in social work and years of experience in various areas including raising a family. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? both, because my opinion is no matter what the position, both will benefit you and the company you work for. Describe the benefits of working with others the benefits would be group input, team work, healthy competition, better efficiency, the ability to take on a bigger better project thus producing a better product. Describe the benefits of working alone the benefits would be your ability to see the project through start to finish, personalization of the project, along with the opportunity of a one on one relationship. What was your worst working experience? all of my work experiences were not negative, but one particular one taught me never to hire friends. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? The most important career lesson would probably be whatever the job or task at hand, do it with passion, importance, and pride. What unique skills do you have? I work very well with teens and at risk populations, as well as elderly. I am empathic. empowering, understanding, but a realist. I am very positive and upbeat. I have a warm, open personality. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? my dream job would be to open a runaway shelter for teens funded by the government. I would like to be able to concentrate on this population without worrying about how to fund the resources needed. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? people, how they think, feel, listen, react, live there lives, the human being fascinates me. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? I refer to these aspects as challenges and works in progress. some of mine include not taking the case home and not saving the world. what is your goal in securing a position in your field? my goal would be to work for an organization that would feel like family, give me pride and sense of accomplishment and enable me to use all of my skills to make the world a better place.
