Yahoo! Answers: How do I start my Life?

Thank author of this post/commentI just graduated from High school in May of 2009. I am in college now. But i am wondering like, i see all my friends moving out. Getting their own place and having a job and a car. I am 19. And i have no job, I live in my parents house. I feel like i have nothing. I have no car, and i can't even drive. My cousin moved to Texas. It just seems like everyone in my family has something going for them and i don't. I have anything going for me. I have so many dreams that are becoming so unrealistic goals. Like i dream to move to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I am in College, but so are many other people i know. I feel like my life is on pause. But my friends and families lives are moving a long like they should. =(

Don't feel that way. It is just a matter of determination. If you are really eager to prosper in your own field you can really do it. You are in college and you will still have a lot of opportunities to get a better job and earn. If you want to excel, you can either engage in a part-time job so you can get extra income. You may also hang out with some friends so you won't feel isolated.

As a teenager, there is a tendency that many youngters tend to think that one chapter of their lives should be unfolded after long days and hours of schooling. People tend to think that they should go we the changing world. Well, not everyone is given that much opportunity to change, some are given in the most fastest way, others are not. It depends on the persons perspective on handling that changes.

I think it is too early for you to actually feel that way. There are lots of opportunities out there and we can hold on to our dreams.

Whatever it is that we desire, we can make it happen if only we put our minds to it. Do not be envious with what your friends had accomplished. Be who you are and pursue what you want. You are still young to think that way.

Trust me, at 19, no one has anything, even if they seem to. Either that, or they are the extremely rare exception. Don't feel like you have to have everything figured out right away, as some thing just take time. Find a need you want to fill and then just plug away trying to fill it, even if it doesn't seem like you are getting a lot of so-called success. Patience is not called a virtue for nothing.

Going to college is not a waste of time if you know that it is really what you want. After you graduate, then you will be able to reap what you sow. There will be more opportunities to come from which you can choose the best and most profitable for you. Just be patient, work hard and you will succeed.
