I am looking for work in Morocco as I have fallen in love with the country. I have been introduced to the country by people from Morocco and I love the culture and the diversity of the country. What countries have you worked in? I have only worked in South Africa What field do you currently work in? I currently work in vehicle and truck part sales What fields have you worked in before? I have worked in the life insurance, investment and call centre fields What qualifications do you hold? I have a diploma in Travel and Tourism as well as level 3 First Aid course Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I feel that skills are more valuable. A formal education may sound great, but if you don't have the skills to go with your education then it is not worth much. Most of the world's most valuable work positions are for skills. If no one had these skills then the world would not function as it does. Describe the benefits of working with others You learn people skills, how to work coherently with others, and to work in a team. Every person brings a unique perspective to the work in environment and you can learn from their experience. They can teach you new and valuble tools that you can use to each other's mutual benefit. Describe the benefits of working alone You can concentrate on your goals and achieve them much quicker than working with others. You concentrate more on the task at hand and thus finish your work load on time. You also set yourself personal goals and push yourself to achieve them What was your worst working experience? It was at a retail store-very long hours, a manager that was condescending towards his staff. This made it very difficult to work for him. There was no time allowed for lunch and everything that was stollen out of the store was taken off of our salaries. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? To listen to what others know about the job. To ask questions at all times if you don't know how to do something or are unsure of anything. help others where you can because you never know when you may need assistance with anything What unique skills do you have? Working in the automotive industry I have gained a good knowledge of motor parts. I have very good selling skills often being the top sales person in my company nationwide. I know how to deal with all levels of customers and people within a company. I am good diplomat amounst my collegues and can resolve problems wuickly and efficiently What would you consider as your 'dream job'? It would be to work in a public sector job, like nursing, social work or to be a paramedic. I love helping people and I feel these fields would be the best areas to do that What are the most interesting aspects of your field? The diversity of customer's that I deal with. My area of sales is over border customers so I deal with different aspects of people communication. There are always challeneges with logistics and to sort out these problems is challenging, but it teaches you what to do next time the same problem comes up. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? I would say that would have to be resolving queries from customers not receiving goods or looking up old credits that customers are requesting What can you offer future employers that will add value to their business? I have 10 years of experience working in all fields of the automotive retail industry so I have a vast knowledge of vehicle and truck parts. My sales knowldge is extensive and so is my knowledge of other aspects that come into these types of sales. All of this combined gives me an edge over inexperienced persons in this field. My customer skills are of a high quality and this enable me to deal with different customers accordingly. I can work well on my own and with other people. I have high work ethics and are always willing to help others and go the extra mile.
