Morocco - Job Talk (Please just talk about jobs here, no resumes, no job offers)

applying for computer jobs; call center; and hotel jobs

What type of job are you looking for?

First in my list are computer jobs since I am highly trained in computer repair/maintenance, troubleshooting and installation of programs. I acquire Diploma in Computer Desktop at University Hassan II.

I can also work in hotels since I have previous experiences working in hotels as Security Guard and Safety Officer.

Lastly, I am also looking for call center jobs since I am fluent in English and French. I can work under pressure and I am a team player with positive attitude.

What nationality are you?

Moroccan

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

Arabic-fluent; English-fluent; French-fluent

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

Anywhere in Morocco where job opportunities are available. But since I live in Safi, it would be better if there are jobs available in nearby cities. I also prefer working abroad, preferably Canada or USA, if given a chance.

What countries have you worked in?

Morocco

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

None yet

What field do you currently work in?

None because I lost my job last year as Security Guard. I am seeking for new job opportunities and I am hoping to get one.

Computer and Security

What qualifications do you hold?

I am highly trained in computer repair/maintenance, troubleshooting of hardware & software, installation of programs (Windows XP and Vista). I am a highly experienced Safety Officer/Security Guard, a swimming instructor and life saver.

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

Formal education is good to highlight your credentials but for me SKILLS are more valuable because it is your ability to apply what you know or what you have learned about that specific job. You may have graduated with honors but you don't know how to apply what you have learned, it's useless then.

Describe the benefits of working with others

I am a team player and working with others develops camaraderie. It will help increase the production because everybody is working as a team and it is very important for the success of the company's goals.

Describe the benefits of working alone

Depending on what job or field you are in. If it requires on working alone and deep concentration, I think it is essential to avoid distraction.

What was your worst working experience?

I was told to do an "under the table" job which I don't like. I refused to do it even if I was offered a high pay. I am a straight person.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

Continue to learn and apply what you have learned. Always have a positive attitude.

What unique skills do you have?

I am a quick learner. I can do anything if given a chance to learn it.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

Working in a computer company.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

Dealing with different kinds of people and continuous learning.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

If I have nothing to deal with.

Do you think you are deserving for this job?

YES, because whatever I do, I give a 100% on it.
