Seeking R.N. job in Morocco

What type of job are you looking for?

I would very much like to find an R.N. job in the pediatric field but possess many skills in different areas.

What nationality are you?

I am American

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

English but wanting to learn french and arabic.

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

I would like to work in Morocco in the pediatric field because I feel it would be a very rewarding experience.

What countries have you worked in?

I have worked in the U.S. only but ready to spread my wings, learn new cultures and enjoy what I love the most, help people.

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

I have U.S. passport

What field do you currently work in?

Currently I work in Home infusion.

What fields have you worked in before?

I have worked in home health care, in a nursing home and at a high level children's hospital.

What qualifications do you hold?

I hold a wide range of qualifications and do not limit myself. I love to learn new things. I do currently work in home infusion so IV therapy is a skill I enjoy but my heart is in pediatrics.

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

I honestly feel that skills are more important. You can go to school and read the books all day but until you actually have the hands on skills, you haven't really learned the true way of taking care of people.

Describe the benefits of working with others

Working with others is very rewarding because each person is unique in their own way. Each individual has so much to offer to others that can help them to become and be a better person. Working with others always also builds bonds and friendships that last a lifetime.

Describe the benefits of working alone

Working alone is not really something that is done very often when you are a nurse. Good patient care is always being there for them and helping them to be the best they can be. If working alone does arise in a job then the time to mentally focus on better ways of doing things is always important.

What was your worst working experience?

Being a nurse, I have never really had any bad experiences taking care of my patients. The occasional violent patient that has mental issues is probably the only bad experience I can think of but it always resolves itself.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

That everyone is a person and they are to be treated like they are your mother, father, brother, sister, aunt, etc. when caring for them.

What unique skills do you have?

I am very good with people of all ages. I truly enjoy helping people and love to constantly learn new things. I am also very good at educating people.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

My dream job at this time of my life is to work in Morocco. I want to experience the culture and help take care of the people. Pediatrics is where my heart lies in the nursing field because I feel such a reward when taking care of children.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

Meeting new people and communicating with them. Learning to be versatile and being able to adapt to new things all the time.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

There is nothing that is not interesting about being a nurse in my opinion. I love being a nurse.

Why do you want to work in Morocco?

I am very interested in the culture and would love to learn from the people here.

How can potential employers contact you?

I can be contacted by email at melonie66@gmail.com
