Teaching in the primary schoolWhat type of job are you looking for? Teaching at any level in the Primary School preferably a school delivering the national curriculum of England. What nationality are you? Nigerian What languages do you speak (and at what level)? English - very fluent Urhobo - very fluent French - very little What country or area are you looking to work in and why? Morocco, Lybia or Egypt. I have spent all my teaching life in my home country so I want to spend the remaining years in different settings. It is time to explore what obtains in other cultures as I would be writing children books when I retire. What countries have you worked in? Nigeria and the UK when I was on teacher training (PGCE) What countries do you have a visa to work in? Nigeria only but I have not really applied to work in any other country before. What field do you currently work in? Education What fields have you worked in before? Education What qualifications do you hold? A degree in education (Nigeria)and a PGCE (UK) Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I consider formal education to be of more value because success in the acquisition of skills is to a great extent dependent on formal education. Describe the benefits of working with others Working with others is benefial in that one gets support from others to maximise output. The saying that "two are better than one" has proved whorthwhile at work. I learn from others and contribute to their well being too. Describe the benefits of working alone Working alone could be rewarding too because one tends to put in more effort in tackling situations knowing that there is no one to offer some support. What was your worst working experience? When I had a child in my class who was not achieving much until a test coducted reveal that his level of dyslexia was high and could not learn like others. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? Hard work and dedication is rewading. What unique skills do you have? Strenght, knowledge patience and teaching techniques in delivering lessons to childre. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? A class teacher or teaching yound children to read. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Getting children to read and seeing the weak child make progress. What are the least interesting aspects of your field?
