What type of job are you looking for?

A senior position in accounting and finance.

What nationality are you?

A Swazi

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

English is my first language.

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

Anywhere in Mozambique but not remote. I would like to gain more experience in another country and also because Mozambique's economy has become more stable.

What countries have you worked in?

Only Swaziland.

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

I do not have any present visas.

What field do you currently work in?

I am the financial manager of a non governmental organisation.

What fields have you worked in before?

auditing, accounting, taxation, SME training

What qualifications do you hold?

Association of Accounting Technician (AAT), ACCA Level II, Diploma ACCPAC, SME Certified Trainer, various certificates

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

I believe that both compliment each other. However, experience is also the greatest teacher.

Describe the benefits of working with others

The greatest benefit of working with others is the amount of experience you gain from others.

Describe the benefits of working alone

The benefits of working alone are being soley responsible for your own successes and taking sole reponsibility of your own failures.

What was your worst working experience?

I had a manager who did not acknowledge my efforts and gave me a bad appraisal. However, Senior management intervened in my favour and I received a promotion.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

Never to allow your emotions to interfere with your professional judgement.

What unique skills do you have?

Enthusiastic, determined, a team player, ability to deal with people at all levels, well spoken, good negotiator, self starter, self motivated.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

Head of finance of a large organisation.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

Designing accounting sytems and internal controls and implementation.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

There is nothing about accounting that does not interest me. I enjoy my profession.
