| microbiologyI am a young man aged twenty-six and have graduated from the University of Zimbabwe with an Honours Degree in Biological Sciences .I do hereby apply for employment as an microbiologist. Studying Biological Sciences motivated my interest in hydrology. My final year thesis involved investigating the effects of vegetation on the physicochemical properties of Blair Park Dam (Borrowdale, Zimbabwe).I am equipped with basic chemistry and microbiology laboratory techniques. Task I can perform include conducting microbial counts, Bacteria and Fungi identification, various kinds of titrations as well as measuring variables like conductivity, pH, turbidity. Some skills that I acquired during the course of my project include collection of water samples and measurement of the following variables Biochemical oxygen demand, Chemical oxygen demand reactive phosphate, total phosphate, total nitrogen, nitrate, ammonia- nitrogen total suspended solids with aid of a Hach test kit and a D-2010 spectrophotometer and identification of Plankton. In addition to. these skills, I am ready to learn new concepts and am able to work with minimum supervision. I also have a certificate in computer studies. |
