Looking for a nursing job

What type of job are you looking for?

I am looking for a nursing job in a private or Government institution

What nationality are you?

Zimbabwean

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

English Shona Ndebele

Very fluent in all the three languages

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

Mozambique,Would like to have experience working and serving in a different country from mine

What countries have you worked in?

Zimbabwe

What field do you currently work in?

Currently unemployed. Last worked for an NGO as a Training officer and my contract was up to 30 September 2009.

What fields have you worked in before?

-Ministry of Health as a Junior Registered nurse until i was a sister-in-charge. -At a Private Hospital as a Sister-in-charge. -As a training officer with an NGO.

What qualifications do you hold?

1.Diploma in General Nursing. 2.Diploma in Midwifery.

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

I consider formal education more valuable because it sharpens one's reasoning capacity and one can still acquire skills after having formal education.

Describe the benefits of working with others

Working with others enables one to learn from the people one is working with.It also gives people a chance to mix with different people and learn different personalities and be able to deal with each personality differently.When working with others one can also practice leadership skills when with the juniors.

Describe the benefits of working alone

When working alone one knows exactly where to find whatever they left in the working place because there are no chances of someone else misplacing.One can easily set and accomplish targets without assuming someone else will do the other task.

What was your worst working experience?

Working with no adequate material and human resources.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

To have smart work plans.

What unique skills do you have?

1.An H.I.V , Infant and young child feeding trained counsellor. 2.A certified and experienced national trainer in: - H.I.V , infant and young child feeding counselling. - P.M.T.C.T - Baby friendly hospital initiative. 3.A certified and experienced Baby friendly hospital initiative assesor.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

Nursing has always been my dream job.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

Seeing a patient to full recovery or going through a successful safe delivery.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

The death of little children.

When are you ready to start work if any potential employer should be interested in you?

As early as 01 February 2010
