National Certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. Class One Journeyman Certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Formal education because one can still acquire skills during or after the formal education. Describe the benefits of working with others When one is working with others there is sharing of ideas so the output is always better and time is also saved. Describe the benefits of working alone Independence is gained when one is working alone and lessons are taken from experiences,whether good or bad. What was your worst working experience? Receiving an electric shock from a charged capacitor. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? To take ideas patiently from more experienced workmates and superiors as well as the juniors as it saves time and even embarassment at times. What unique skills do you have? Imparting juniors and apprentices with knowledge and skills as I am patient. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? Engineering services manager What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Electrical circuitry designing and wiring. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? Refrigerant recovery as it takes time because the machine cannot be left unattended yet the process cannot be done away with due to ozone layer protection efforts. Why do you think you should be given the first prefference if a vacancy arises? I am a technician with vast experience given that i was trained through the apprenticeship program by a reputable company (Hippo Valley Estates) and oriented into working under a very safe enviroment so I can contribute to the organisation I work for not only the skills but also the safety of my surroundings.
