WHO NEED ME?From March 2008 till June 2008, I was working as General Manager in Nha Trang, Vietnam, for the pre-opening period (4 month contract), only.Therefore, I am seeking seriously a permanent Senior Management Position, worldwide, preferably in Namibia! Diploma in Hotel and Restaurant Management. Many years international hotel management experience, incl. project planning, pre-openings and renovations, with excellent technical understanding. A natural leader and instigator, immaculately presented and articulated, with the ability to lead the overall day-to-day operations and appearance of the hotel/resort, incl. standards, organisation, orderliness, cleanliness and maintenance. Strong F&B/C&B, FOH/BOH, Rooms Management (with good yield management techniques), Sales & Marketing, P&L, Capital Control and Train the Trainer experience. Strong commercial awareness and business acumen. Managing and taking responsibility for profitability and budgetary / cost control. Able for agreeing, achieving and exceeding the Hotel Business Plan. Very ambitious for success and business. Analytical, organisational, administrative and time management skills. Maintains accuracy and timeliness of all information in company databases. Ensuring the highest standards of customer service. Interfaces with clients in order to provide excellent customer service in a timely, efficient and professional manner. Excellent problem solving and communication skills, handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy. Ability to deal with uncertainties. Responsible for the overall development of the team, through hiring, on the job training and coaching, team meetings, and supervision of staff, incl. performance reviews that design a career path for each team member. Ability to relate to people of different cultures and backgrounds and ability to energise others. Hands-on management style. Meticulous attention to detail. "Can do" attitude. Systematic but not bureaucratic. Computer literate, knowledge of Micros/Fidelio and MS Office. Development of innovative programs, i.e. food promotions and public relations events, incl. creating, editing and publishing brochures, newsletters and marketing collaterals. Twice, Quality Manager for ISO 9002 Certifications, incl. preparation of hotel/restaurant operations manuals. Practice of HACCP (Hazardous Analyses Critical Control Points) rules and regulations, incl. preparation of sanitation manuals. Very approachable, outgoing personality with a mature, confident, assertive and professional attitude, business minded approach and easy manner in dealing with clients, financial supporters and superiors. Forward- and outside the box thinking, with a good sense of humour. |
