Position Available: Head Chef at Sossusvlei Lodge, Namibia Position: Head Chef at Sossusvlei Lodge, NamibiaWe here at Sossusvlei Lodge, Namibia, have a vacancy available as Head Chef. Our Head Chef oversees all kitchen staff, food preparation and cooking activities in our Lodge kitchen and restaurant. Most of their time is spent planning and writing menus, budgeting and financial planning, and participating in business development. The Head Chef also recruits staff, supervises their activities and instructs cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food. Our requirements: MUST be a Namibian Citizen or have a valid work permit for Namibia Our Head chef must have a passion for food and have lots of energy due to our high demands Training and Qualifications received from a recognized Chefs Institution Advanced cooking skills and techniques Ability to work with a team in a team Ability to work efficiently Eye for safety and sanitation At Least 5 years experience in 4 to 5 star kitchens At least 3 years experience in the position as Head Chef Drivers License Willing to live in the Namib desert Additional: A good team member well groomed and sociable in a multi-national and cultural environment.
