Job seeking

What type of job are you looking for?

I am looking for a job in any area of Human Resources. It can be payroll, Industrial Relations, Trainig Co-ordinator, anything at all realated to HR.

What nationality are you?

Namibian

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

English - Very good Oshiwambo - Excellent Afrikaans - fairly

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

Namibia - As i am planning to further my studies at the Polytechnic of Namibia next year, hence i believe it will be easier for me to get work in Namibia. Namibia is teh first option, However, i dont want to limit myself i am more than free to work in any other country fro exposure and experience cultural diversity as well as development standard in other countries.

What countries have you worked in?

So far i have only worked Namibia.

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

None currently

What field do you currently work in?

i am currently working in an Aviation Industry (Equity Aviation Namibia) and I work in Human resources field as a Human Resources officer/Organizational Development Assurance.

What fields have you worked in before?

This is my first job

What qualifications do you hold?

I obtained a Degree in Human Resources Management from The Polytechnic of namibia 2008.

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

- I have got vast experince in VIP payroll system ( I am well trained and experienced)

- I Have a little experience on Quality Manangement system(Implementation and Auditing) SABS trained and certified. Certificate recieved in March 2010

- Experience in LAbour and Industrial relations. - Supervosory skills ( I work with 10 people under my supervision)

Describe the benefits of working with others

- When working in a team you get work done fast - Reduce stress level as you dont get loaded by work. - More support ( experiebce is shared) - Team comitment stimulate perfomance and attendance - Teams can foster greater cooperation among team members

Describe the benefits of working alone

- Less conflicts - Improve creativity and allow a person to be more independent - You are always in control - Allow you manage your time properly

What was your worst working experience?

My first month of working was a night mare, as i didnt get any orientation from anybody, the previous HR officer was already gone by than, All my Seniors were in South Africa and our Mother Company was going thrugh retrenchment and there wasnt really much time for them to come and train me. I had to learn everyhting on my own. Worse part, there were a lot of pending Labour cases, employees wanted to strike, and just too mnay things, and mind you my GM was also new as we were appointed in the same day so you can just imagine the chaos that was there. With all these, i managed to go back to my books and practice, i negotiated with the union, i got some assistant from teh company's lawyer and everything went well.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

I have learned to be firm in whatever i do and always remain calm inregardless of the situation, because in this field you deal more with people.

What unique skills do you have?

- I am good at studying people's behaviuor. - Negotiation skills - A am a good analyser - People Management

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

My dream job should be something that will really get me to my toes and enahnce my thinking capabity. A job taht will challenge me and allow me to strech my mind. it should also be able to meet my needs and allow me to be happy.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

- Payroll, i have to make sure that i dont go wrong. - Quality Management System- making sure that each department operates according to the manual, controlling documents, being audited. - Training facilitation - Organization development - developing and implementing procedures - Disciplinary cases

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

- Leave record- it is a routine job, it doesnt require any thinking - Filing
