What nationality are you? Zimbabwean. What languages do you speak (and at what level)? I am fluent in English, Shona and Setswana. What country or area are you looking to work in and why? I would like to work in Namibia and Southern Africa for the purpose of career growth, personally I am also eager to relocate. What countries have you worked in? I have worked in Botswana as a Mechanical Fittewr for two years. What countries do you have a visa to work in? Botswana, and it expires in April 2011 What field do you currently work in? I'm working at a Vermiculite Mine as a Maintenance fitter, working mainly on conveyor belts, crushers, vibrating screens, pumps, job and machine maintenance planning and assisting in the purchasing of spare parts What fields have you worked in before? I have worked in Production and manufacturing fields. I have also worked in a machineshop. What qualifications do you hold? I am an apprentice trained and trade tested class one fitter and turner with seven years work experince. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I believe that formal education and skills complement each other. I think lacking any of the two would result in compromised competency levels at work. Describe the benefits of working with others New and brilliant ideas are generated when people work together. It is a great opportunity to improve on one's weaknesses when people work as a team. Describe the benefits of working alone Working alone is good at times as it helps to increase self confidence and resposibility . It also encourages one to do work related research more often. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? I have learnt that it is very important to pay attention to small details, never overlook anything and it is very important to foresee the challenginges that are bound to be faced after new installations have been carried out. What unique skills do you have? I believe that I have natural trouble shooting skills. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? To be employed as a maintenance fitter in a Large Mine or Factory.
