Teachers need to be able to pck up different learning disabilities in children as well as identify how different children learn and acquire knowledge and i do not believe this is fully possible if you have not been formally educated in these matters. Describe the benefits of working with others Being able to share ideas in a school or teaching environment is vital to the quality of education which is conveyed, working with others allows for this as well as brainstorming together or simply asking advice. different teachers have always had different experiences and working in a group allows you to be exposed to what each one has come across. motivation is also of vital importance in any work area and working with others motivates me to work hard and allows me to motivate others as well as improve my teaching skills by the example of others. Describe the benefits of working alone Working alone could be daunting, however i have found the freedom of exploring my teaching skills and it has made me more independant and self sufficient in my job. Therefore i am not as reliant on others. In working on your own you find out who you are when thrown in the deep end and how you will truelly handle any situation. What was your worst working experience? I have worked with a teacher who tried to conform me to her way even though it was mostly wrong and she was never willing to work as a team or compromise. Passion for a job is probably the most important work ethic, when you have passion for what you do you will do it well and you will find that you build up strong standards against what is right and wrong. I find new challenges each day and need to be able to deal with them efficiently. Children are very interesting and they help teachers grow in their skill and beliefs. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? The paperwork. It has to be done and it is vitally important, however I am sure most teachers feel it can become tedious. I am a positive person with a positive outlook on life and I love a good challenge. i have good organisational skills and I am good with people in various situations. I have a love for teaching children of all ages and I enjoy coming up with new thoeries and ideas for lessons and ways of teaching. I am a fast learner and enjoy learning new things. I am pleasant in a classroom but i am strict and believe in good discipline that does NOT involve corporal punishment. I do not tolerate lies, bad manners or laziness.
