I am a 22 years old young man, and a former student of Suiderlig High School in Keetmanshoop. I completed my high school education (IGSCE, Grade.12) in November 2001. After matric I wanted to further my knowledge in computers, so I applied to study computer science at Polytechnic of Namibia. I was admitted but due to the lack of financial support I was unable to attend classes. Even though I did not give up my hope and love for computers. I have then therefore been trying out new applications (programs) and other operating systems (LINUX and it’s Open Office, Apple operating system etc). I also leaned a lot more by reading e-books that I downloaded from the internet.
Earlier in may 2004, I registered my self to study for a Computer Technician diploma at the Institution of Information Technology (IIT), again the financial difficulty came up, I only finished with the A+ (Softwares and Hardwares Specialist – Computer Technician) and I was unable pay for the rest of the rest (N+, MCSE, Security+ and Server+). During my A+ examination I scored 99% and I was the best A+ student at the college. They advised to write the international examination but I also did not have the extra fees that I was suppose to pay.
After my studies at IIT I came back to Keetmanshoop, where I came to start volunteering myself as an IT Technician and Tutor at the Complementary Learning Centre (CLC) in Keetmanshoop. I have then been helping here since February 2005 till March 2006. I have been also helping NaSoMa with IT related problems and issues since March 2005 till March 2006 on a part-time basis.
Early in the beginning of the year 2006, I introduced my self at the Keetmanshoop Municipality and I started helping them with all their computer problems, needs and advices. I have then been helping them till now.
Right now I am operating as an IT Consultant (running as small business) in the Keetmanshoop district. I daily duties include supplying of computers, their parts and accessories, repairing of faulty computers etc, please see my CV for more details.
The above is just my educational background and skills in Computers, and I am now therefore looking for any employment at your organization.
I have wide knowledge in computers and currently I am operating as an IT Consultant (please my attached CV). I am well familiar with all Microsoft Windows operating systems and many applications. I believe I have the right skills and knowledge for any IT related post that may be available. If under any circumstance that I did not qualify for this vacancy, please refer me to any other post that I might be applicable for.
