i am looking for a job in a bar or restaurant working as a barman, waiter, glass collector or in the kitchen.

i am looking to work in amsterdam as it is a livley place like myself and it is the sort of environment i like to be in.

What fields have you worked in before?
i worked in a bar in Santa Ponsa in Mallorca as a barman fro a couple of weeks. i also worked in another bar as a person who sold laughing gas which requiers good people and communication skills. my main job was working in a hotel for 2 1/2 years mainly as a chef but i also worked as a barman there, a waiter and a night porter which improved my customer service skills.
What qualifications do you hold?
GCSE - 5 B's 2 C's A-Level in Psychology -C AS-Levels in Law-D Sociology-C and Government and Politics-D
Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?
i consider skills more valuable as all formal education can be learnt in a class room whereas skills often need to be gained through living life.
Describe the benefits of working with others
the main benefits of working with other people is that 1st you get to meet great new pepole and can constantly learn new skills off each other. i personally think that i am very good at working as part of a team.
Describe the benefits of working alone
when working alone there are no distractions so you can achieve maximum concentration. when working like this, whatever job is being done, can be completed to the highest standard
What was your worst working experience?
my worst workin experience was in the kitchen when we were in the middle of sending a function for 300 guests and i cut the tip of my thumb off with a knife. i was able to bandage it up and be back to working in 15 minutes.
What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?
discipline is the most unique lesson i have learnt. working in a kitchen there is a rank like that in the army and ig peolpe start disobeying instructions, then thats when things start going wrong
What unique skills do you have?
i am a very quick learner and am able to diffuse hostile situations
What would you consider as your 'dream job'?
my dream job wouold be to own a bar in a place like Magaluf or Malia or Tenerife.
What are the most interesting aspects of your field?
the most interesting is when i learn a knew recipe that i did not know or had never seen before.
Wjat are the least interesting aspects of your field?
when there is nothing to do. when all the preperations have been made and its just waiting for the service to start.
