What qualifications do you hold?

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

Both are important. Formal education to learn the theoretical side and skills to get the experience in working in that specific area.

Describe the benefits of working with others

I believe that you can learn alot from other people as there is not always one certain way to do things. It is fun to be in part of a team and to help each other out with more challenging tasks.

Describe the benefits of working alone

If in some situations people worked alone, it means that time is better spent on getting everything completed on time and possibly more effectively as not everyone works in the same way

What was your worst working experience?

I can not remember a time when I've felt like I've been through a really bad experience because during my work experience so far (excluding my current job as a child carer) I have had work colleagues for support and guidance and that helped me through alot in my career so far.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

So far, the lesson that I have learnt the most throughout my career is that team work is very important. You can learn a lot from other people and especially within the health and social care sector, it is vital that staff can work together, which in turn is very rewarding for you and the people which you work with and care for.

What unique skills do you have?

I have worked with the elderly and with children for the most part of my career, which gives me a very broad range of people. I hold the basic skills for caring for children and the elderly, which is very unique.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

My interest in my ideal job at the moment would be to work (as a social worker) with young adults who have behavioural and emotional issues. I feel that I could really help a lot of people who have and are struggling in their young lives and to give them the correct support and guidance they need into their adult lives.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

Within the Health and Social Care sector, there are so many different aspects in which you can look into and work with, that every new experience or aspect is very interesting

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

I do not think I have come across an aspect in Health and Social care that I have no found interesting

What makes me a suitable candidate within the Health and Social Care sector?

I am very enthusiastic, motivated and ready to learn something new either independently or as part of a team. I enjoy working with people, but am also motivated individually as well. I really strive in caring and helping people and seeing the difference that it makes in the individual's lives.

How can potential employers contact you?

I would prefer to be contacted by email as my daily routine varies from day to day and therefore it is not always possible for me to answer the phone. My email address is: kateburgess8@hotmail.com
