Projects:

• GSM Operational Data Store (ODS) Project: Worked as a .NET developer among a team of 6 on an Operational Data Store (ODS) project that aimed to offload the operational backend systems direct reports querying, and empower users with ad-hoc reporting tools. The engagement required extracting all business-related data from the GSM operator’s operational backend systems, and resulted in building a multi-terabytes data warehouse. The involvement required analyzing the business processes and reporting needs of the GSM operator as well as developing both canned reports and ad-hoc reporting models. The project was built using Microsoft Business Intelligence Platform, having SQL Server 2005 for the warehouse database, SQL Server Integration Services for the ETL packages and SQL Reporting Services as user interface tool.

• CrysTelCall CRM Implementation: Worked as a .NET developer among a team of 4 on a Microsoft CRM 3.0 (Customer Relationship Management) implementation that users to provide professional customers service. Among the duties during the project, Islam was responsible of building the data migration tools through a friendly user interface. The project was built using Microsoft Customer Relationship Management Platform, having SQL Server 2005 for the database and C# Windows forms as user interface tool.
