Warehousing and logistics (including customer satisfaction) What fields have you worked in before? Bar and catering, over 8 years. What qualifications do you hold? Catering supervisor, warehouse supervisor. Several courses completed over the years. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Skills. It requires so many more functions than formal education, i.e, work ethic, going the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction, thinking of new ideas to improve efficency in the work place, one to one contact, ability to resolve problems quickly, etc. Describe the benefits of working with others You learn from them, they learn from you. Describe the benefits of working alone Time to finish projects with out interuption, able to deal with any problems in quick succession. What was your worst working experience? Working in direct sales for two weeks. Basicly knocking on peoples doors to try and sell a certain product. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? The customer comes first.........even if it means staying back for an extra hour (unpaid) to fulfil their requirements. What unique skills do you have? Brilliant with people, ability to turn a negative situation to a positive one (amongst others) What would you consider as your 'dream job'? Running my own business (life goal) What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Dealing with so many different people and challanges. I have actually become good friends with a lot of our customers. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? Keeping the work place clean and safe, not interesting, but just as important as any other aspect of the job.
